The high ceilings called for a grand gesture. In the kitchen, a striking bright blue upper cabinet forms a composition with the stainless steel splashback and light fixture. Opposite the countertop, a light blue floor-to-ceiling cabinet is paired with a wooden bench, creating a cosy dining nook. In the bathroom, a level difference of over one metre had to be bridged between the floor and the entrance. A platform with a few steps in front of the washbasin elegantly resolves this. Next to it, a washing machine and dryer are hidden behind a curtain. The bath and shower are tucked into a green tiled cocoon, featuring a custom shower screen for comfortable showering. The doors of the tall cabinet next to the stairs are finished in stainless steel, a nod to the material palette in the kitchen. The existing doorway was closed off with a semi-transparent cabinet, while a new entrance was created in the wall between the kitchen and living area. An additional circular opening creates a connection between the two spaces while simultaneously concealing the clutter on the worktop. Together with Alice, a carefully considered colour palette was developed, with a painting of a pear by her grandfather serving as an important point of departure. A new warm red linoleum floor, combined with a white marble entreporte, echoes the warm tones of the tall cabinet wall, which continues above the worktop. The stainless-steel worktop and splashback are paired with soft pink fronts. In the former doorway, a bright blue cabinet was installed, immediately setting the tone upon entering the apartment. By incorporating one of the doors into a full-height wall of cabinetry, the circulation became more intuitive. A structural beam above the kitchen worktop was clad in mirrored glass, allowing it to visually disappear. This subtle intervention redirects attention to the remaining red-painted beams and column, extending the architect's strategy of leaving the structural elements exposed. The rounded peninsula creates a fluid transition between the kitchen and dining area, encouraging a natural flow through the space. The clients' original colour palette was carefully refined into a balanced composition in which colours and materials complement one another. Once the kitchen had been completed, the area beneath the staircase offered the opportunity for an additional custom intervention. Conversations with the clients revealed a range of practical needs: a wardrobe, a bar cabinet, a bench and even a discreetly concealed litter box for their cat. While this combination of functions may seem unexpected, the careful interplay of volumes, colours and materials brings them together into a coherent made-to-measure element. Though independent from the kitchen, it adopts the same material palette and design language, establishing a subtle dialogue between the two interventions.Architecture by Studio Toto. The edges are detailed in stained oak.&nbsp;The tall cabinet wall is executed in the same oak veneer. The red worktop resonates with the dark red linoleum floor. In the seating area adjacent to the kitchen, Winckelmans tiles and white-painted brick create a harmonious contrast. A checkerboard floor was introduced in both the kitchen and the adjoining hallway, adding rhythm and character to the space. The cabinetry along the cooking zone was extended up to the ceiling, creating visual calm and additional storage.&nbsp; A palette of light yellow, stainless steel and petrol blue brings warmth and depth. The tiled backsplash adds another layer. The light blue kitchen island was extended with curved open shelves, softening its presence in the space and improving the overall flow through the kitchen. The glass takes on a ziggurat shape with three steps, making it immediately distinctive in form and stackable. Each step of this glass is functional, intuitively measuring a specific volume: 35 ml at the base for a shot, 125 ml across the two lower steps for a wine, and 250 ml when filled for any other drink. The tumbler is designed for everyday and all day use. The Triple Tumbler is produced by Studio Franche in recycled glass.The Triple Tumbler can be purchased on the shop page. Redopapers looked for a new approach to paper. After an intensive search for a product that would resonate with their existing collection, a modular desk organizer was conceived.&nbsp;The result is intuitive, flexible, and efficient — a system designed to ship flat, fit together smartly, and bring everyday clarity to creative minds. This circular desk accessory brings structure and calm to the workspace. Made entirely from paper waste from the cardboard industry, the design consists of a tray and five storage modules that fold and click together with ease. The Redopapers blocnote and to-do list are seamlessly integrated, offered as a single, functional unit. The desk organizer is available in the webshop of Redopapers. Their dimensions follow the size of the light source. The simple construction, without any welding, makes the lamps easy to assemble and take apart. Since each lamp consists of two components, different colour combinations can be created. The result is a gentle and poetic spread of light, reminiscent of a starry sky.&nbsp;The Perfo lamps can be purchased on the shop page.
