rice paper lamps
For their 10 year anniversary Antwerp design store Gæst invited several artists and designers, to adapt the rice paper shades of Hay.
Starting from the application, I’ve transformed the rice paper lamps from hanging lamps to floor lamps. Using repurposed materials such as cardboard, newspapers and paint, I’ve created pedestals in different shapes and colors, where the uneven, living surface of the papier-mâché repeats the paper structure of the lamps.
