passo

Reading between the lines. Passo is a hanging mirror produced by Deknudt Mirrors. The design is inspired by Daniel Buren and Ricardo Bofill. The striped pattern is subtle, because it is located at the bottom of the mirror. The peach colour of the stripes also feels very subtle and natural. The stripes interact with the environment and its reflection. The shape of the mirror is rounded at the top, making the overall experience softer and more elegant.

The stripes are silkscreened in between the glass and silver surface that creates the reflection. This technique, which is used exclusively by Deknudt Mirrors in Belgium, makes the mirror a unique object. Passo means "step" in Italian and refers to the shape in which the stripes are screen printed. The mirror is a limited edition of 25 pieces.
