In a Brussels apartment, both the kitchen and bathroom were in need of an upgrade. The high ceilings called for a grand gesture.
In the kitchen, a striking bright blue upper cabinet forms a composition with the stainless steel splashback and light fixture. Opposite the countertop, a light blue floor-to-ceiling cabinet is paired with a wooden bench, creating a cosy dining nook.
In the bathroom, a level difference of over one metre had to be bridged between the floor and the entrance. A platform with a few steps in front of the washbasin elegantly resolves this. Next to it, a washing machine and dryer are hidden behind a curtain. The bath and shower are tucked into a green tiled cocoon, featuring a custom shower screen for comfortable showering. The doors of the tall cabinet next to the stairs are finished in stainless steel, a nod to the material palette in the kitchen.
