Marie-Gabrielle bought the former artist apartment of Antwerp artist Hugo Roelandt and asked me to design an atypical kitchen. Without a doubt, it was one of the most inspiring places I've ever been. In the kitchen, the murals by Hugo Roelandt were the start for the colour combination of everything we would add.

The floor plan of the kitchen has an oblique shape and is oriented towards the light blue niche. The light blue niche not only contains a refrigerator, but the curtains at the bottom also hide a washing machine and dryer. In the kitchen area, the red stained birch veneer combines perfectly with the Carrara marble worktop and the bright blue floor that was already present. The polished stainless steel door pulls are a reference to the silver murals.
