laurian & ameline

One shared attic space was turned into two children's bedrooms. Sisters Laurian and Ameline were starting to feel the need for some privacy, but still couldn't bear to be apart. Built-in wardrobes fit neatly under the sloping roof, with a large sliding partition moving between them. Both bedrooms have their own entrance and share a continuous platform that runs through both rooms. Laurian’s built-in bed sits nestled beneath the sloping roof, creating a cosy cocoon. Ameline’s room already starts in the hallway with a quarter-circle step that forms part of this platform.

The sisters each chose the colours for their new dream room, and both had a mirror integrated into the sliding wall. High up, an internal window lets daylight flow freely between the two spaces.
