Herlinde and Lou's apartment in a high-rise block in Ghent was given a completely new look thanks to one major intervention. The wall between the kitchen and the living room was broken out and replaced by a transparent shelving unit. The design was a quest for maximum effect with a minimal budget.
The love of colour became the main starting point. The colours of the floor, shelving unit, worktop and extractor hood have been carefully matched. Thanks to the open rack, the apartment feels a lot more spacious and creates a cheerful dynamic.
