bureau br

The design of the ground floor of Bureau Br's architectural office in Brussels arose from a dialogue between the architects, designer Flore Fockedey and myself. We came up with different scenarios and different occasions in which the space could be used. It not only functions as a meeting and lunch room, there is also the possibility to invite neighbors and passers-by.

A large green curtain can divide the room into several zones. The furniture consists of three components. A floor-to-ceiling dark green cupboard hides the practical appliances and kitchen utensils. Next to it, a tiled worktop has been added, supported by a planter. Finally, tables can be arranged flexibly throughout the room. Two narrow tables together form a large conference table. The table tops have a different color at the top and bottom and can be turned over to create a different atmosphere.
